Definition of Fable

The character or the narrator in a simple story called fable teaches a moral lesson playing some role in it . The message becomes clear usually at the end of the story.

Examples of Fable

One of the well-known gavels is that of The Fox and Grapes .

George Orwell’s The Animal Farm is a fable for adults .

Parable

The only difference between Allegory and Parable is while in Allegory the inner meaning lies hidden,here ,as its name suggests,the story and the meaning goes parallel.

Parable was one of Christ’s favourite device of teaching.
